The Story- Chapter 1
This is my attempt to write a love story.
Vizag is a beautiful place. Priya wanted to always visit that place since her childhood. Her aunt lives there and she remembers going to Vizag when she was in 8th grade. It always happened that her aunt's family used to visit Hyderabad but Priya's family have never been there. Well not to blame on the high school exams, then intermediate and yes, of course EAMCET. EAMCET is a common entrance exam for engineering and medicine admissions. It is a big thing for any Math-science student in Andhra Pradesh to qualify in it. And more than that get an admission into premiere colleges.
"I am so excited to go to Vizag. Can't believe I got a chance to go now", said Priya to her mom while packing her suitcase.
"You know how busy your father was busy all these days and also your aunt visited us recently", said Priya's mom Sujatha folding the clothes on Priya's bed. "Make sure you also visit Neelima and stay with her for at least a day", said her mom explaining her how close Neelima is to her. Neelima is Sujatha's cousin's daughter. In relation, Neelima (in short Neelu) is Priya's sister. Priya was in 10th grade when Neelima got married. It's been almost 5 years she last saw her. It was a grand wedding then and she recollected how much fun all her cousins had in the wedding. Neelu akka (sister) is a beautiful lady with good sense of humor and all the nice qualities like understanding, caring and yes, smart.
She now has a daughter who was born 4 yrs ago when they moved to Vizag. Priya was excited to meet her niece too. A 10day holiday trip to Vizag sounds so much fun thinking about the late night movies and endless gossips with her cousin Nisha.
"Paddu atta (Priya's faher's sister, her aunt) asked me bring her silk saree that she left here during her stay last Diwali." said Priya standing in front of the opened cupboard with all the clothes piled up there.
"I have to send it to the dry cleaners then. Listen, you don't stay late at the nights when you go there. Holidays doesn't mean waking up late and sleeping late. Make sure you help your atta in the kitchen. I know Nisha doesn't help her at all." said her mom knowing how she and Nisha would forget the world around them when they meet. Nisha is Paddu atta's daughter. She is very good looking but a pampered child. She is very bubbly but doesn't know what it is like compromising. Her dad never says no for her wishes. He gave her a diamond necklace when she got 75% in 10th grade. Well, he cannot avoid being a doting father as Nisha is the only girl born in their family after two generations. Well, whatever it is, Nisha and Priya like each others company and to spending time together.
Priya's brought up is not so like Nisha's. She is pampered by her dad like any other father would do, but at same time was taught to know her limits. She knows what is practical and what is achievable. She is a very intelligent girl who has head over her shoulder. She is a friendly and jovial person whom everyone likes to be with. Her neighbor always says to her mother how lucky she is to have a daughter like her and if she gets a chance would adopt her right away.
It's ten in the night and Priya is helping her mom clean the dining table and kitchen. "I can take care of the rest. You should sleep now. Your train is at 5:00am and you will get tired with the whole day journey", said her mom keeping the dishes in the refrigerator.
"I love beaches, the sea.. oh my god its going to be a wonderful holiday. I will wear yellow chudidar when we go to the temple. Nisha and I should watch Kaho na pyar hai..." thoughts were running in Priya's mind and it is getting difficult for her to fall asleep. It normally happens when you are excited about something and when you try to sleep, all these random thoughts come in your mind and you have to shut off one by one before and you will not even know when you fall asleep in that process.
It was very smooth journey to Vizag. This is back then where carrying a cell phone was a luxury. Cell phones only baga dabbu unna vallaki undedi. Adi oka latest technology gadget. "Paddu atta promised to send their car and driver to pick me. I hope it might have reached the railway station. Gosh, I am so hungry", thought Priya when the train was approaching Vizag station. Vizag is a beautiful place. Priya wanted to always visit that place since her childhood. Her aunt lives there and she remembers going to Vizag when she was in 8th grade. It always happened that her aunt's family used to visit Hyderabad but Priya's family have never been there. Well not to blame on the high school exams, then intermediate and yes, of course EAMCET. EAMCET is a common entrance exam for engineering and medicine admissions. It is a big thing for any Math-science student in Andhra Pradesh to qualify in it. And more than that get an admission into premiere colleges.
"I am so excited to go to Vizag. Can't believe I got a chance to go now", said Priya to her mom while packing her suitcase.
"You know how busy your father was busy all these days and also your aunt visited us recently", said Priya's mom Sujatha folding the clothes on Priya's bed. "Make sure you also visit Neelima and stay with her for at least a day", said her mom explaining her how close Neelima is to her. Neelima is Sujatha's cousin's daughter. In relation, Neelima (in short Neelu) is Priya's sister. Priya was in 10th grade when Neelima got married. It's been almost 5 years she last saw her. It was a grand wedding then and she recollected how much fun all her cousins had in the wedding. Neelu akka (sister) is a beautiful lady with good sense of humor and all the nice qualities like understanding, caring and yes, smart.
She now has a daughter who was born 4 yrs ago when they moved to Vizag. Priya was excited to meet her niece too. A 10day holiday trip to Vizag sounds so much fun thinking about the late night movies and endless gossips with her cousin Nisha.
"Paddu atta (Priya's faher's sister, her aunt) asked me bring her silk saree that she left here during her stay last Diwali." said Priya standing in front of the opened cupboard with all the clothes piled up there.
"I have to send it to the dry cleaners then. Listen, you don't stay late at the nights when you go there. Holidays doesn't mean waking up late and sleeping late. Make sure you help your atta in the kitchen. I know Nisha doesn't help her at all." said her mom knowing how she and Nisha would forget the world around them when they meet. Nisha is Paddu atta's daughter. She is very good looking but a pampered child. She is very bubbly but doesn't know what it is like compromising. Her dad never says no for her wishes. He gave her a diamond necklace when she got 75% in 10th grade. Well, he cannot avoid being a doting father as Nisha is the only girl born in their family after two generations. Well, whatever it is, Nisha and Priya like each others company and to spending time together.
Priya's brought up is not so like Nisha's. She is pampered by her dad like any other father would do, but at same time was taught to know her limits. She knows what is practical and what is achievable. She is a very intelligent girl who has head over her shoulder. She is a friendly and jovial person whom everyone likes to be with. Her neighbor always says to her mother how lucky she is to have a daughter like her and if she gets a chance would adopt her right away.
It's ten in the night and Priya is helping her mom clean the dining table and kitchen. "I can take care of the rest. You should sleep now. Your train is at 5:00am and you will get tired with the whole day journey", said her mom keeping the dishes in the refrigerator.
"I love beaches, the sea.. oh my god its going to be a wonderful holiday. I will wear yellow chudidar when we go to the temple. Nisha and I should watch Kaho na pyar hai..." thoughts were running in Priya's mind and it is getting difficult for her to fall asleep. It normally happens when you are excited about something and when you try to sleep, all these random thoughts come in your mind and you have to shut off one by one before and you will not even know when you fall asleep in that process.
